Skype for Business https. Where you download it from doesn't matter in terms of what service you connect to. We need to use SfB temporarily for about a month just they have an app to use before we switch them again to what we are using. My question is can I just download the SfB Basic for all users and cut off subscription.
does 'i still did not see skype for business app in the app launcher?' mean that you can't see it when clicking the upper left corner of office 365 admin portal as below?
if so, it's an expected behavior that skype for business doesn't show in office 365 portal app launcher. different from onedrive for business or sharepoint online, it's a client software that members in an organization use to communicate via instant messaging (im), online meetings, audio and video calling at work or on the go. you can install it via the in portal>office 365 settings> software> office and click install to install skype for business. turning on skype for business only allows users to download and install it from portal, after which you can see skype for business on your computer. but that won't make it appear in the app launcher.
